FAA Fines Hardware Company for Non-Compliant Hazmat Shipment
True Value Co., a Chicago, IL, based company, was recently fined $54,000 by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for violating federal hazardous materials regulations for air transport. According to the FAA, the hardware store out of the Jonesboro, GA, location offered a four-liter metal container of flammable epoxy paint to FedEx for shipment by air to Crossett, AK.
